Basketball Recap: Mt. Vernon Wildcats vs. North Posey Vikings

After flying high against Carmi-White County last Saturday, Mt. Vernon came back down to earth. The Mt. Vernon Wildcats fell 55-46 to the North Posey Vikings on Wednesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Meyer Robb, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Robb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nash Hostetter, who posted 16 points.

It was another big night for Austin Schmitt, who had 18 points for North Posey. Brayden Compton was another key player, putting up ten points.
