Basketball Recap: Palmer Coleman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Newport

Priest River won against Genesis Prep Academy last Tuesday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Priest River Spartans were the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over the Newport Grizzlies. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 67-59 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Priest River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Palmer Coleman led the charge by putting up 11 points and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Ian Lamanna, who posted 12 points.

As for Newport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-42 loss against St. George's on the 13th.
