Soccer Game Preview: Corinth vs. Grenada

The Corinth Warriors will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Grenada Chargers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Corinth has three straight wins, Grenada has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Last Tuesday, Corinth sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Pontotoc.

Meanwhile, Grenada lost 6-1 to Center Hill on Thursday.

Grenada's goal came courtesy of Harper Newcomb, which was the first he's scored this season.

Corinth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six contests. As for Grenada, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
