Basketball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Neuse Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Friendship Christian Falcons 57-27. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Neuse Christian Academy lost, don't look at Carter Brown. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 14 on his way to 18 points.

Patrick Keller was nothing short of spectacular for Friendship Christian: he went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Keller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Woodard, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Neuse Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Friendship Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Thales Academy Rolesville the next time they take the court. Neuse Christian Academy will head out to face Thales Academy Rolesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Friendship Christian will host them on January 7, 2025.
