Baseball Recap: McNair Eagles vs. Edison Vikings
McNair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 11-1 walloping at the hands of the Edison Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to McNair of the 11-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
McNair saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manny Moreira, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
On Edison's side, Ethan Balanon was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. Balanon was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
