Basketball Recap: Yellow Medicine East Takes a Loss

Yellow Medicine East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Minneota Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sting this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-39 back in December of 2024.

Yellow Medicine East's record now sits at 2-21. As for Minneota, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Yellow Medicine East and Minneota could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Yellow Medicine East will challenge Renville County West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 215 places (405 vs. 190). Meanwhile, Minneota (ranked 305th) will meet B O L D (ranked 122nd) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
