Baseball Recap: Lutheran South Comes Up Short

Lutheran South and Sullivan squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lutheran South had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Lancers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lutheran South dropped their record down to 11-13-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Sullivan, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Lutheran South will square off against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Sullivan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
