Soccer Recap: Kaneland Comes Up Short

Kaneland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hampshire Whip-Purs, falling 6-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Kaneland of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Quinn Rus, which was the first he's scored this season.

Kaneland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hampshire, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Coming up, Kaneland will host Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hampshire, they will be playing at home against Wheaton Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
