Softball Game Preview: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Kuna Kavemen

The Ridgevue Warhawks will take on the Kuna Kavemen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgevue is looking for their season's first victory.

Ridgevue lost 13-3 to Meridian on Tuesday.

Berkley Roath made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Kelsey Rose also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Kuna earned a 6-1 win over Rocky Mountain on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Kavemen in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won five in a row.

Rylee Mangum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Amber Harwood was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Remington Quick, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Kuna, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Ridgevue skirted past Kuna 7-6 when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Kavemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
