Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Tyler Legacy

Tyler Legacy hadn't done well against Rockwall-Heath recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tyler Legacy Raiders strolled past the Rockwall-Heath Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 73-53 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ja'Corian Oes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyere Ceasar, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points.

Tyler Legacy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockwall-Heath only racked up nine assists.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleb Turner-Dicus, who posted 13 points. Isaac Yacob also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Tyler Legacy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-12. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Rockwall-Heath, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-6 record.

Coincidentally, Tyler Legacy and Rockwall-Heath will both be playing North Forney the next time they take the court. Tyler Legacy will head out to face North Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Rockwall-Heath will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
