Football Recap: Holly Comes Up Short on the Road Against Sangre De Cristo + How To Watch

Holly kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 36-14 to the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Holly will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on September 6. As for Sangre de Cristo, they will take on Las Animas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
