Baseball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel couldn't beat Princeton on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Aces lost 15-5 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Aces have suffered against the Tigers since May 2, 2016.

Mt. Carmel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Mobley, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Princeton, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

The future could be bright for both Mt. Carmel and Princeton: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Aces will try to hand Marshall their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Princeton will look to extend Boonville's three-game losing streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
