Softball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Hershey Trojans
Bishop McDevitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hershey Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.
Katelyn Roadcap made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double. Julia Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Bishop McDevitt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Hershey, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop McDevitt will take on Harrisburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hershey, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hempfield at 4:15 p.m. The last three games the Black Knights have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
