Baseball Recap: Chelsea Takes a Loss

Chelsea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Medford Mustangs, falling 15-2. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Chelsea's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Medford, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Chelsea will challenge Lynn English at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Medford, they will take on Winthrop at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
