            Softball Preview: Northeastern Bobcats vs. New Oxford Colonials        
        
		
        
        
            The Northeastern Bobcats will face off against the New Oxford Colonials at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Northeastern will be strutting in after a  victory while New Oxford will be coming in after a  loss.
Northeastern is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past William Penn 19-4 on Tuesday. The Bobcats not only won  on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 18, 2024 (when they won  15-0).
 Alaina Dubbs was a standout: she got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. That  triple was  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leah Himes, who  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  double.
 Northeastern  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in four consecutive  games.
Central York hit New Oxford with a eight-run fifth inning  on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colonials lost  15-5 to the Panthers.
  Aralyn Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 New Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Northeastern, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-9.
