Zenai Davis commands the offense for Knights win

Recap: Oakbrook Prep Knights vs. Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors

The Oakbrook Prep Knights had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They strolled past Spartanburg Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 54-37. Given Oakbrook Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Spartanburg Christian Academy is ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakbrook Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zenai Davis, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brad Caldwell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Oakbrook Prep pushed their record up to 17-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-23.

Oakbrook Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Northside Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Oakbrook Prep likes a good challenge. Spartanburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
