The Young Americans Christian Eagles pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Lanier Christian Academy by a score of 59-56. Young Americans Christian has not had much luck with Lanier Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Gibbs, who scored 17 points. Damian Crawford was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Young Americans Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Young Americans Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Skipstone Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Skipstone Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on The King's Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
