Airport has gone a perfect 10-0 against Grosse Ile recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Jets will head out to challenge the Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. Grosse Ile took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Airport, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Airport narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Whitmer 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jets.

The team relied heavily on Emma Wehrs, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Peyton Zajac, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Airport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitmer only posted a batting average of .167.

Meanwhile, Grosse Ile didn't have quite enough to beat Taylor on Saturday and fell 13-12. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meghan Johnson and Marian McCarthy did some serious damage despite the final result: Johnson went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and one double, while McCarthy went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those triples were Johnson's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie McCarthy, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Airport's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Grosse Ile, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Airport took their victory against Grosse Ile when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Jets repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
