Basketball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy suffered their closest loss since December 7, 2023 on Monday. They fell just short of the Del Oro Suns by a score of 61-58. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Zikeem Dozer, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaymar Buton, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Kennedy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Del Oro, they moved to 7-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-62 defeat against McFarland on the 9th. Del Oro has also already played their next game, a 51-45 win against Golden Valley on the 8th.
