Baseball Recap: Pope County Falls Short of Century in the Playoffs

Pope County and Century squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pope County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Centurions by a score of 4-2. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Connor Bucher was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Pope County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Century, their record is now 14-4.

As of now, neither Pope County nor the Centurions have any future games scheduled.
