Basketball Game Preview: Mankato East Cougars vs. Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars

The Mankato East Cougars will face off against the Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mankato East has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 7.

Mankato East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came up short against Austin on Friday, falling 81-59. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Packers are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Jordan lost 77-55 to Minnehaha Academy on Saturday.

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Mankato East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Mankato East didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jordan when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with an 85-80 win. Will Mankato East repeat their success, or does Jordan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
