Volleyball Recap: Mendota Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mendota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Somonauk Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16.

Mendota's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Somonauk, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Mendota will venture away from home to square off against Newman Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somonauk, they will head out to face off against Illinois Math & Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
