Softball Recap: Pecatonica Takes a Loss

Pecatonica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-2 to Dakota. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pecatonica of the 14-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Pecatonica saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Bolen, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Pecatonica's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Dakota, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Pecatonica will take on South Beloit at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dakota, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Dubuque at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
