Volleyball Game Preview: Hartsville Red Foxes vs. Wilson Tigers

The Hartsville Red Foxes will head out to take on the Wilson Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hartsville's tournament run continued when they took on St. James on Saturday. The Red Foxes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks. The Red Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Wilson got the win against Lakewood on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-5, 25-16.

Hartsville better focus on containing Dhara Vaghela and Jada Owens as the pair were huge in Wilson's win. Vaghela had six digs and three aces, while Owens had four aces. Those four aces gave Owens a new career-high. Kayla Carroway also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Wilson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. They are a perfect 9-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Hartsville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Everything went Hartsville's way against Wilson in their previous matchup on September 4th, as Hartsville made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Foxes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
