            Barnegat dropped their record down to 14-5 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Brick Memorial Mustangs by a score of  5-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  10-0  back in April.
As for Brick Memorial,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-5. That's two games straight that they have won by  exactly two  runs.
For Brick Memorial's part,  Avery Nalducci made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). Nalducci has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Carly Hobbs, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Giselle Lizardi, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barnegat will host Central Regional  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Brick Memorial, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Howell  at 3:45  p.m.
