Baseball Game Preview: Bangor Cardinals vs. Cashton Eagles

The Bangor Cardinals are taking a road trip to face off against the Cashton Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bangor's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Cashton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bangor took on Hillsboro on Friday. The Cardinals never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cashton fell victim to Westby and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 11-0 to the Norsemen. The Eagles have struggled against the Norsemen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Bangor's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Cashton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Everything went Bangor's way against Cashton when the teams last played back in April, as Bangor made off with an 8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
