Soccer Game Preview: Las Lomas vs. Acalanes

The Las Lomas Knights will face off against the Acalanes Dons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Las Lomas is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Clayton Valley Charter just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Ugly Eagles. The shutout was out of character for Las Lomas seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2025.

While Acalanes' fans didn't get a definitive result on Tuesday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. They and Mt. Diablo finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw.

Acalanes' draw gives them a new season record of 3-6-6. As for Las Lomas, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.

Las Lomas got the 'W' in their previous matchup on January 13th against Acalanes by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
