Basketball Game Preview: Edinburgh Lancers vs. Sheridan Blackhawks

The Edinburgh Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the Sheridan Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Edinburgh came up short against Cambridge City Lincoln and fell 82-75. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (66), the Lancers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Sheridan earned a 67-56 win over Western Boone on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Stars: they've now won three in a row.

Sheridan's win came from a few key players Edinburgh will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Damon Winston, who went 6-for-15 en route to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wright, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 19 points along with seven boards and six assists.

Edinburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Sheridan, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
