Basketball Recap: Franklin Learning Center Beats Parkway Northwest for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Franklin Learning Center took a 20-point loss the last time they faced off against Parkway Northwest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Franklin Learning Center Bobcats skirted past the Parkway Northwest Hoyas 56-53. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin Learning Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gary Bailey, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points in addition to eight assists and five steals. Bailey continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kadeem Martin was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards.

Several Hoyas players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kahleem Jordan, who posted 18 points. Jordan's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Dyer, who had 16 points.

Franklin Learning Center pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Parkway Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Franklin Learning Center and Parkway Northwest will both be playing Swenson Arts & Tech the next time they take the court. Franklin Learning Center will head out to face Swenson Arts & Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Parkway Northwest will host them at 3:15 p.m. on January 21st.
