Murtaugh hasn't had much luck against Butte County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will host the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Murtaugh had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lighthouse Christian on Thursday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-20.

Butte County not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Oakley as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Butte County's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-13.

Butte County's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Murtaugh, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
