Softball Recap: North Miami Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Miami extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 12-3 in the process. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southwood Knights a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordyn Hackworth was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Porscha Pickett, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

North Miami always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwood only posted an OBP of .250.

As for Southwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

On Southwood's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Lambert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Lambert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

North Miami wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 loss against Central Noble on the 12th. As for Southwood, they have also already played their next match, a 14-4 defeat against Hilltop on the 10th.
