Volleyball Game Preview: Johnson Atomsmashers vs. Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets

Johnson hasn't had much luck against Southeast Bulloch recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Atomsmashers will face off against the Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. Johnson will be strutting in after a victory while Southeast Bulloch will be coming in after a defeat.

Johnson not only won last Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Beach as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Atomsmashers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Johnson was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Southeast Bulloch came up short against Bryan County on Monday and fell 2-0.

While Southeast Bulloch was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Johnson's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Southeast Bulloch, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.

Johnson couldn't quite get it done against Southeast Bulloch in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Atomsmashers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
