Salem Christian is 0-5 against Lincoln Leadership Academy since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Salem Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m.
Salem Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lititz Christian.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Leadership Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Bethlehem Christian 74-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lincoln Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Sabater led the charge by scoring 16 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Sabater is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Estrella, who scored 16 points along with five assists.
Salem Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Salem Christian was dealt a bruising 73-27 loss at the hands of Lincoln Leadership Academy in their previous matchup back in January. Thankfully for Salem Christian, Joel Medina (who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
