Football Recap: Hoover Cardinals vs. Maranatha Christian Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Diego, Hoover was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 31-2 win over the Maranatha Christian Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.
Sir Autry had a dynamite game for Hoover, rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 35 receiving yards and a touchdown. Autry's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 137 rushing yards dating back to last season. Miko Hunter also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.
Hoover wouldn't let Maranatha Christian keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Hoover can thank Xavier Logan and Yussuf Masudi for forcing both of them.
