The Caddo Magnet Mustangs will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Lakeside Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
After only two runs in their last contest, Caddo Magnet made sure to put some runs up on the board against Red River on Tuesday. Caddo Magnet put the hurt on Red River with a sharp 16-1 victory.
McLamb Mary made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Mary has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive pitching appearances. Mary was also big at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Catherine Berry, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI. McLamb Landry was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
