Soccer Game Preview: Cranston East vs. Cranston West + How To Watch

A classic East v. West matchup is on the schedule. The Cranston East Thunderbolts will head out to take on the Cranston West Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Cranston West better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Cranston East's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Cranston East really gets things going. The Thunderbolts put the hurt on Exeter-West Greenwich with a sharp 5-1 win. Michael Ogunmola was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Cranston West faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Falcons and the Townies finished up their match with a 0-0 draw. Cranston West's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cranston East pushed their record up to 11-6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. Cranston West's draw gives them a new season record of 8-3-5.
