Softball Recap: Johns Creek Gladiators vs. North Murray Mountaineers
Johns Creek won against Pepperell on Saturday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Johns Creek Gladiators won by a run and slipped past the North Murray Mountaineers 3-2. That's two games straight that the Gladiators have won by just one run.
Addie Grindle was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Johns Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're OBP total in four consecutive games.
Johns Creek's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for North Murray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Johns Creek will host Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Murray, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Pickens at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
