Recap: Stanton County Trojans vs. Conway Springs Cardinals
The Stanton County Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Conway Springs 58-6. Stanton County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-0.
It was another big night for Brayden Kunz, who rushed for 194 yards on only six carries. Kunz is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Stanton County's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.0 points per game. As for Conway Springs, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Stanton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Conway Springs will square off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Zane Farney and Kunz.
