Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Bears vs. Trillium Academy

For the second straight game, Jefferson will face off against Trillium Academy. The Bears will host Trillium Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Jefferson's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Trillium Academy with a sharp 19-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with Trillium Academy: they've now won four in a row.

Emily Grube made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Grube was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Ava Gratowski was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Molly Hayford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Trillium Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.
