Bolles hadn't done well against St. Johns Country Day recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games in a row.

Kline Cummings tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Bolles saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Arndt, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Bolles' record now sits at 13-6. As for St. Johns Country Day, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-5.

Coming up, Bolles will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mount Horeb at 7:00 p.m. As for St. Johns Country Day, they will head out to challenge Bishop Kenny at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
