Basketball Recap: Charlotte Lipkin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lincoln

Bothell proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 30) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lincoln Lynx 47-44. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Lynx are ranked 182nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bothell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Lipkin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The game was Lipkin's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Bailey Petrin was another key player, going 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and five steals.

Bothell pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lincoln, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Bothell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-20 win against Hazen on the 22nd. Lincoln has also already played their next contest, a 43-41 loss against Holy Names Academy on the 22nd.
