The IMG Academy White Ascenders put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 38-33 win over Chipley.
When it comes to explaining why Chipley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Albert McKinnie. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Another player making a difference was La'Darius Sirmons, who scored 2 points along with 3 steals.
IMG Academy White has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Chipley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IMG Academy White will take on Bell Creek Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chipley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Williston at 6:00 p.m. on December 9th. Williston has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 296 points over their last four contests.
