Galena Park put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Waltrip Rams get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Daniel Gomez, who gave up just three hits to keep Waltrip off the board. Gomez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Galena Park saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hector Arrieta, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Emmanuel Garcia was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Arrieta wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Galena Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Galena Park's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Waltrip, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galena Park will welcome Sharpstown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waltrip, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on April 23.
