Volleyball Game Preview: Skyline Titans vs. Oakland Wildcats

The Skyline Titans will head out to take on the Oakland Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Skyline, who comes in off a win.

Skyline not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Madison Park Academy. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Trojan-Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Skyline was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Oakland suffered their biggest defeat since May 14, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against El Cerrito, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Gauchos: they've now lost three in a row.

While Oakland ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Oakland, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Skyline might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Oakland in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
