Soccer Game Preview: Bastrop vs. Cedar Creek

The Bastrop Bears will challenge the Cedar Creek Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Bastrop didn't have quite enough to beat Richards School for Young Women Leaders and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Bastrop can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 537th, while Richards School for Young Women Leaders are ranked 246th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Creek). They never let Crockett get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for Cedar Creek in their matchups with Crockett: they've now won three in a row.

Isabelle Ledesma and Sophia Rodriguez scored all three of Cedar Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Cedar Creek's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Bastrop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7-1.
