Cupertino is a perfect 10-0 against Lynbrook since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pioneers will be playing at home against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Cupertino's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.

Cupertino came out on top against MacDonald on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Pioneers blew past the Condor 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won 12 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jasmyne Llanos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Cupertino's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Talitha Vaughn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Another was Maddison See, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Lynbrook came up short against Palo Alto on Wednesday, falling 19-3. Lynbrook has struggled against Palo Alto recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Cupertino has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lynbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Lynbrook's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cupertino has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Lynbrook, though, as they've been averaging 10.7 hits. Given Cupertino's sizable advantage in that area, the Vikings will need to find a way to close that gap.
