Basketball Recap: Morris Knolls Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mount Olive

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morris Knolls). Everything went their way against the Mount Olive Marauders on Thursday as the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles made off with a 69-45 win. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Marauders are ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Morris Knolls' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Mount Olive, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Morris Knolls will take on Morris Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Olive has already played their next match (against Parsippany), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
