Softball Recap: Rickards Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Rickards was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (17-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Rickards' defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for St. John Paul II, their record is now 14-7.

Rickards didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-1 loss against North Florida Christian on the 20th. As for St. John Paul II, they will take on Altha at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.19 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
