The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will square off against the Enochs Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Davis Sr. 3.8, Enochs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Davis Sr. took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Fairfield by a score of 9-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alex Kieffer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Kieffer wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Burnham, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another was Jackson Vogt, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Davis Sr. lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Enochs had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Jaguars.
Like Davis Sr., Enochs also got a great game from a two-way player: Caden Reeve. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reeve has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Enochs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-1 (and 8-9-1 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Pierce Vongphakdy, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Jaden Souza was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Enochs' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Davis Sr., their win bumped their record up to 18-9-1.
