Moniteau proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Keystone Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Carson Minnear looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dawson Cook, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Alex James was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Moniteau now has a winning record of 2-1.
Coming up, Moniteau will head out on the road to square off against St. John at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Keystone, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Karns City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keystone, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Karns City's (thus far) undefeated season.
